The short version

  • I only ask for what I need.
  • Your details are only ever seen by me. Never by other fans.
  • I never show who else is a fan, or how many fans there are.
  • I do not sell your information, and I do not share it for advertising.
  • You can ask me to show you, fix or delete your information at any time.

What I collect, and why

  • Your account. Your email address and a password (stored scrambled, so I cannot read it). This lets you sign in, and it is what gets you into the Starlight Lounge.
  • Shop orders. Your name, billing details and what you bought, so I can send your music. Payments are handled by PayPal. I never see or keep your card number.
  • The Starlight Lounge. Your progress in Midnight Whispers is saved to your account, privately. Your game scores, collections and sound settings stay only in your own web browser on your own device.
  • Messages. If you write to me through a form, I keep your name, email and message so I can reply.
  • Spam checks. Comments and forms are checked by a spam filter (Akismet), which sees the message, name, email and IP address.
  • Cookies. Small files that keep you signed in and remember your cart. I do not use advertising cookies. Pages that show a video (for example from YouTube) may let that company set its own cookies when you press play.
  • Server records. Like every website, the hosting company keeps a record of visits (such as your IP address and the pages opened), for security.

Who else handles it

Only the services needed to run the site, and only what they need: my web hosting, PayPal for payments, Akismet for spam checks, and email delivery for account and order emails.

Email

I will email you about your account and your orders. I will only send you news if you ask for it. When I write to many people, addresses are never shown to each other.

How long I keep it

Your account stays until you ask me to remove it. Order records are kept for as long as the law requires for accounting.

Your choices

You can change your details in My Account. You can also email me to get a copy of what I have about you, or to have your account and information deleted.

Age

The Starlight Lounge and shop accounts are for people 13 and older. If I find out someone younger has an account, I will delete it.

Changes

If this changes in a way that matters, I will update this page and the date above.
